Ruth (nee Kent) Vellucci, a beloved wife, mother, and instructor at Fight Shape gym in Broomall, died on Wednesday, April 17, according to her obituary. She was 42.
"Ruthie was a beacon of light in our lives, radiating warmth, love, and compassion to all who knew her," wrote Lauren McGilligan on GoFundMe.
"She was the rock that held her family AND the Fight Shape family together."

Missing PA Teen's 'Skeletal Remains' Found Almost 5 Months After Disappearance, Coroner Says
A teenage girl who went missing nearly five months ago was found dead, officials explained on Tuesday, April 23.
Kaitlin "Lil Bit" Nicole Whoolery, 17 of Uniontown, was last last scene on Nov. 23, 2023, the Pennsylvania CrimeStoppers said in a release on April 3 as the search for her continued.
Uniontown City Police described Kaitlin as a 17-year-old, white female, who was 5'3" tall, weighing 115 lbs, she had a nose piercing, a cross-chain, and a bead necklace that says "Blake", according to the release.

Camden Man Gets 55 Years Prison For Fatal Shooting
A 21-year-old Camden City man has been sentenced to 55 years in New Jersey State Prison for killing a Philadelphia man, authorities said.
Antony Shields was sentenced on Friday, April 19, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. He must serve 85 percent of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
On Jan. 30, 2024, a jury convicted Shields of first-degree Felony Murder, first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter, and second-degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in connection to the death of Alex Fernandez, also 21.

Northeastern PA Woman Missing, Police Say (Updated)

Stroud Area Regional Police are looking for a missing woman.
Lisa Ann DiGiovanni, 49, was last seen in Stroud Township around 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, authorities said.
She is 5 feet and 115 pounds and was last seen wearing a black jacket with white fur trim, blue jeans, and hoop earrings, according to police. She drives a white 2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan with Pennsylvania tag number MGZ-2595.
