She was born Jan. 14, 1914, to Giuseppe and Maria (Fasula) Vecchiarelli.
She grew up in Bridgeport and graduated from Bridgeport City Normal School with a degree to teach elementary school in June 1934. She later attended Danbury State Teachers College and earned a bachelor's degree in education. She taught first- and second-grades in the Bridgeport school system for more than 35 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. Esposito.
She was the mother of two sons, Anthony (Maureen) of Larchmont, N.Y.; and Daniel (Claudia) of Potomac, Md..
She is survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 9 a.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport.
Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford, Connecticut.
