Teen, 21-Year-Old Charged In July 4th Burglary Of Area Deli

A teen from the area and a 21-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with a July 4th burglary at an area delicatessen.

At approximately 1:35 a.m., Putnam County sheriff deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the Border-Line Deli, located at 182 Fairfield Drive in Patterson. 

Upon arrival, Deputy Vincent Dalo observed that the store’s front door and window had been broken and the business had indeed been burglarized.

Deputy Dalo, Deputy Michael Diveglio and Sergeant William Quick Jr. checked the business and canvassed the area, but were unable to locate suspects.

After further investigation, investigators from the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigations arrested 18-year-old David L. Lussier of Putnam Valley and 21-year-old Timothy J. Yeager of Eastport in Suffolk County. Both were charged with the felony crimes of third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief.

Lussier was arraigned in Southeast Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash/ $10,000 bail-bond. He has a future court date at the Town of Patterson Justice Court.  

 Yeager was arraigned at Patterson Justice Court, and was released on his own recognizance, pending a future court date.
