Eight Northern Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In Thanksgiving Details

New York State Police troopers busted more than two dozen motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the Thanksgiving holiday in the area.

Westchester County

  • On Wednesday, Nov. 21, State Police troopers from Somers arrested James G. Donofrio, 51, of North Castle, for DWI. He was traveling on I-684 in North Castle, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Nov. 23, State Police troopers from Stormville arrested Markis A. Rey, 26, of Peekskill, for DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, a felony, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on Fishkill Avenue in Beacon, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Dennis G. Enriquez, 36, of Somers, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law. He was traveling on Route 35 in Somers, when he was stopped during a fixed sobriety traffic safety checkpoint. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol with a child under 13-years-old in the vehicle, and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Robert A. Goetz, 50, of North Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 35 in Somers, when he was stopped during a fixed sobriety traffic safety checkpoint. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested John Richards, 66, of Kent, for DWAI Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. He was traveling on Route 52 in Fishkill, when he was stopped for due to a request to check on his welfare after he consumed an unknown amount of medication. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs, then provided medical treatment, and later arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 25, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested David W. Forschner, 50, of Southeast, for DWI.
