Coyote Management Task Force and the Coyote Awareness and Safety Advisory Committee both were formed due to an increase in coyote sightings and incidents with the animals during the past few years.

The Coyote Management Task Force's goals include providing information to residents about coyote hazing (actions to scare off the animals) and identifying measures that can be taken by town staff.

The Coyote Awareness and Safety Advisory Committee goals include providing science-based information as well as coyote management plans and strategies regarding best practices for dealing with coyotes.
