Eric Meyrowitz, a Chappaqua resident, has just landed a plum promotion.
Meyrowitz has been named senior vice president, sales, with oversight of the sales operations of Hearst's television and radio stations and various web platforms.
Meyrowitz returned to Hearst Television in 2014 after having served as vice president and general manager of WPIX-TV in New York. Between 1997 and 2000 he served as national sales manager for Hearst’s WBAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore.
While serving for more than three years as the general manager at WPIX-TV, Meyrowitz helped create and launch the station’s first 5 p.m. newscast, as well as New York’s first Health and Wellness Expo.
Meyrowitz has served numerous community-service organizations including the McCormick/Tribune NY Foundation, the Sean Kimmerling Cancer Foundation and So Others Might Eat.
