Founded in 1936, the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps is dedicated to providing quality emergency medical services to the residents of New Castle and vicinity. The more than 70 volunteer members are a diverse group, from teachers and lawyers to entrepreneurs, students, parents and grandparents.

All volunteers participate on their own time. Whether it’s community spirit, a desire to give back, camaraderie or a love for emergency medicine, members share a common passion for helping the community.

In addition to responding to more than 500 calls annually, CVAC reaches out with programs to educate the community on first aid and CPR.

Much behind-the-scenes work goes into making sure CVAC is ready to respond to medical emergencies in the community. It takes a lot of money to keep two ambulances and a rapid-response SUV on the road and equipped with supplies.  CVAC accepts tax-deductible donations.
