Monday, Jan. 28

All Together Now: 11:30 a.m. Join the Chappaqua Library for story time. For those five-years-old and younger, with an adult. No registration is necessary. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Storytimes: 4:30 p.m. For those in grades K-2, come to this week’s Storytimes at the Chappaqua library and anticipate a surprise activity. Free and open to the public. 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Informal Writing Workshop: 7:30 p.m. Join Joan Schulman and others with your short prose, poetry, ideas or simply a desire to write, to an evening of supportive feedback with fellow writers. Tuesday, Jan. 29

Crochet With Kate: 3-6 p.m. Grades 5-12 are welcomed to join Kate for part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project. Kate will start with the basics — hats and scarves — and then move on to arimgurumi in this monthly program. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Ask Astorino: 7 p.m. As part of an ongoing effort to reach out to Westchester residents and listen to what is on their minds, County Executive Rob Astorino will host his next “Ask Astorino” town hall meeting. New Castle Town Hall at 200 South Greeley Ave.

College Planning For Athletic Recruits: 7:30-8:30 Do grades matter for students who get recruited for college sports? Grades 9-12 are invited to find out with educational consultants Geoff Sterns and Alan Haas covering high school curriculum planning, athletic recruiting and time management. Wednesday, Jan. 30

Taking the Mystery Out of Your Finances: 7 p.m. This seminar will delve into understanding what’s in your 401(k), retirement plans, investment options and other financial variables. BOE Meeting: 8:15 p.m. The Chappaqua school board will conduct a board meeting in the Academic Commons of Horace Greeley High School. 70 Roaring Brook Road, Chappaqua.

Thursday, Jan. 31

Tales 4 Too Tall: 4:30 p.m. For grades 1 and up, read to the Chappaqua Library’s greyhound friend. Please register, as space is limited. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Caldecott Club: 7 p.m. Grades 3-5 are invited to answer the question “What makes a picture book a work of art?” Those interested should register, as space is limited. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.
