CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- A glass of lemonade can go a long way.

At the Chappaqua Farmer's Market Saturday, the Blum sisters, 12-year-old Rebecca and 9-year-old Jenna, will be selling lemonade for Alex's Lemonade Stand, which raises money to fight childhood cancer.

This is the fourth year the sisters are running a lemonade stand. Through online donations, they've already raised $1,167 as of Friday morning.

Alex's Lemonade Stand was started by Alexandra Scott, who was diagnosed with cancer before her first birthday. When she was four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in her front yard to raise money to find a cure for her cancer. Her first lemonade stand raised $2,000 in one day.

Alex passed away in 2004, with people raising $1 million in her name. The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was started by her parents in 2005 and $140 million has been raised.

The sisters will be selling lemonade from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information or to donate, click here .
