It also resulted in the cancellation of numerous parades scheduled for the morning.

But the day won't be a total washout, according to the latest forecast.

The steady rain will give way to showers later in the morning, with most of the afternoon and evening expected to be dry with a chance of a thunderstorm in spots. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall.

Monday's high temperature will climb to near 80 degrees.

After a chance of morning showers, the sun returns Monday with a high reaching around 85 degrees.
