Monday's highs in the mid- to upper-50s are expected to continue through Wednesday when it dips into the high 40s, before ushering in the chance of rain and snow showers on Thursday.

Residents can expect a 60 percent chance of the rain/snow mix during the day and 70 percent in the evening, as a cold front blast through the area before moving out on Friday leaving partly sunny skies and cooler temperatures, officials said.

Putnam and Dutchess counties can expect a greater chance of the rain/snow mix Thursday, the Weather Service forecast shows.
