Mr Geho leaves the wrong impression when he says failure to provide an optimal level of fluoride will not effect the quality of the water. While it is correct that the fluoride additive will not affect the safety of the water or the taste of the water, it will affect the quality of the water and the well-being of Yorktown residents. Drinking water with an optimal level of fluoride will sustain a lower rate of tooth decay for people of all ages and a higher quality of life. Failure to continue fluoridation will, over the long term, lead to a lower quality of life for Yorktown residents. View Comment
