I think The chamber has been doing great and I am just an observer. Good effort all around, good teamwork by the merchants. I think we all benefit from a strong downtown. I also think we should allow development of Chapp Crossing's retail for a proper grocery store. An equinox and something else that's not going to hurt downtown. I will always shop at Village Market and do so more than once a week, but I drive to Yonkers and Greenwich for milk and produce. And on the atmosphere issue, does anyone know if Walgreens will be putting up an awning or lit wooden sign or do they just get to pop up a neon sign a la Central Avenue? To sum up: Bobby Casual is a coward and a bit of a tool. View Comment
Appreciate the comment SideOut72, but very few people drive Dodges in Chappaqua. I hope the kid is okay, but this entire back and forth is driven by one comment on a rarely viewed facebook page. I do think we could use a Trader Joes in the old Dag space. View Comment
Please people, take control of your lives. Kids sled, kids get hurt. It's not Snowbird it's a town park. Sled at your own risk. And any moms who shouldn't be wearing leggings, you know who you are, please lay off the leggins. View Comment
Dear Mr. Curley, I am pretty sure what we really want to build there, or what every Chappaqua resident I've ever talked with about that site wants, is a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Then throw in some high-end 55+ townhouses. Not sure why there's not a Trader Joe's in the old D'ag site but I think it's related to the D'ag owner living in Chappaqua and blocking in some fashion. There's lots of set back from the RD site and Cowdin Lane, and there's a road's worth on Roaring Brook also. Give homeowners that abut the site a tax break and maybe they'll become less averse.
