Route 120 (Quaker Road) will remain closed Wednesday during the afternoon commute, New Castle Police said.

The closure, from Kipp Street to Hunts Place, began overnight Monday into Tuesday when a downed tree also brought down wires.

Extensive damage to a downed pole and wires has resulted in a stretch of Route 120 in New Castle remaining closed Tuesday morning.

Con Ed crews worked overnight at the scene and remain there Tuesday, New Castle Police reported.

No ETA for when the road will be reopened is yet available, New Castle Police said.
