The New York State Department of Transportation issued a travel advisory warning that there will be lane and shoulder closures through Thursday, April 13. The work began Saturday, April 8.

A shoulder on the southbound lanes between Exit 23 (Mamaroneck Avenue) and Exit 22 (Mamaroneck Road) will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., while the right lane between Exit 29 (North Ridge Street) and Exit 27 (Purchase Street/Route120) will also be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday.

Additionally, left lane closures are expected for the Parkway between Exit 10 (East Third Street) and Exit 30 (King Street), with northbound closures occurring on Wednesday, April 12 and southbound closures occurring on Thursday, April 13.

Motorists can expect delays during the lane closures and should seek alternate routes.

The DOT said the closures will affect motorists traveling in Pelham, Eastchester, Rye Brook, Scarsdale, Harrison, Mount Vernon and New Rochelle. They also issued a reminder to motorists that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone can result in a license suspension.
