Crashes On Taconic, I-84, Icing On Route 6, Route 22, SMP Closures

Motorists were confronted with Icy conditions and a host of traffic issues throughout the area Monday morning.

A multi-vehicle crash with debris, reported just before 9 a.m., led to delays on the northbound Taconic State Parkway at Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley.

Also just before 9 a.m., a crash occurred on the eastbound Newburgh-Beacon bridge, where speed restrictions were in effect.

A stretch of Route 22 in Croton Falls was closed in both directions following a crash and fuel spill reported around 9 a.m. The closure was between Maple Avenue and East Cross Street with the roadway reopening by 10 a.m.

Farther south, the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway was closed at Route 117 (Exit 39) in Mount Kisco after a 9:30 a.m. crash in which one vehicle hit the guardrail.

Icing conditions were reported on Route 6 between Route 52 (Gleneida Avenue) and Croton Falls Road in Carmel.
