Five Arrested In Philly Man's 2006 Kidnapping, Murder: US Attorney
Nearly 18 years after Shamari Taylor disappeared in Philadelphia, five people are charged in connection with his murder, prosecutors said Thursday.
Kevin Holloway, 45, Mark Scott, 48, Linton Mathis, 50, Atiba Wicker, 47, and Kenneth Tuck, 51, were all arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping resulting in death, kidnapping resulting in death, and aiding and abetting, said the US Attorney's Office.

Two Victims Named In North Philly Speakeasy Shooting: Authorities
Philadelphia police have named the two people who were killed in a shooting in North Philadelphia early Sunday morning, Jan. 14.
Authorities said they were called to a suspected speakeasy, or unlicensed bar, on the 2400 block of Myrtlewood Street just before 1 a.m.
They arrived to find six people suffering from gunshot wounds, the department told Daily Voice.
Edison Frazier, 53, of West Philadelphia, was shot in the face.
Christopher Smith, 41, of North Philadelphia, was shot multiple times in the chest.

A Pennsylvania Lottery player in North Philadelphia earned the jackpot prize playing the New Year's Millionaire Raffle on Saturday, Jan. 6, according to state gaming officials.
The lucky player won one of four million-dollar prizes in the final drawing for the game, said lotto representatives. The Shell Gas Station at 6200 North Broad Street will receive a $5,000 selling bonus, officials said.

A 29-year-old mother in North Philadelphia was accidentally shot with the gun her child found outside only moments earlier, authorities say.
City police were called to the 5600 block of North 7th Street in Olney just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, the department told Daily Voice. They arrived to find blood on the floor on the home's foyer, officials added.
