The ceremony, which took place on Friday evening, included a parade on Main Street, with the teammates standing in the back of a truck. North Castle Police and the Armonk Fire Department joined the players.

The parade concluded in front of North Castle Town Hall, where the team and local officials joined for a rally that included a large and excited crowd.

“These players are my family,” said Coach Scott Saunders. “I couldn’t be happier for them.”

Several seniors who played on the team spoke at the rally and offered their thanks to the community.

“There was something special about this team that, more than any team I’ve ever been on, and that was that every guy on the team could do the job," said senior Thomas Gagliardi.

“It’s been fantastic," said senior Kellen Hatheway. "Thank you, guys.”

Several speakers acknowledged the role of the Armonk Baseball League (ABL) as the feeder team for the Bobcats' baseball program.

“Did you ever imagine this day?" asked North Castle Councilman Guy Mezzancello. "Some would say ‘no,’ but ABL said ‘yes.’”

Saunders referred to the relationship that ABL has with the high school program as “instrumental to the success that we have.”

“This is the best baseball team in New York State,” said North Castle Supervisor Michael Schiliro, with a roar from the crowd immediately following.
