Impastato was part of a group that journeyed to the island nation to promote basketball in the country. "It was an incredible journey and one that I will never forget," said Impastato. "I learned a lot while I was there, and we were a great help to the local villages." As part of the initiative to raise money for Full Court Peace, Impastato shot 100 free throws, knocking down 92 of them. He raised more than $3,000 from 35 people for each free-throw attempt that he made, with the funds going to help pay for paint and supplies to help rebuild courts in Cuba and for nets and basketballs to benefit the local children. Full Court's mission is to unite, strengthen and educate local and global communities through the creation of youth basketball teams and basketball systems. The organization sees a globally connected basketball community that serves all populations regardless of race, religion or socioeconomic status. "By spreading the game of basketball, we've been fortunate to meet people who we normally would not have met otherwise," said Mike Evans, founder and CEO of Full Court Peace. "Basketball has that power, that power to connect disparate communities. Andrew came highly recommended as an ambassador; we're lucky to have him."

Impastato is returning for a second season on head coach Pat Kennedy's staff with the Setters in the fall. He assists with recruiting, scouting, game planning, player development and video breakdown.
