OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Horace Greeley coach Mike DeBellis and his wrestling team were off to a rewarding dinner following his teams performance in the Oswego Wrestling Tournament. The Quakers had 10 of their 14 wrestlers place in the top eight, highlighted by 195-pound champion Scott Wymbs. Overall, Greeley finished 11th in the 22-team field. Following the tournament, DeBellis and his team were stopping for dinner at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse. It was a huge win for Scott and for the program, DeBellis said. Scott was the fourth seed and he beat the first seed in the semis. It was nice to see Scott excel in big matches. To have 10 of our 14 guys place just shows what sacrifices the boys are willing to make in order to get better. I could not be more proud of the team and the direction we are heading in. Along with Wymbs, Brent Lobien (285 pounds) finished fifth, Kirby Atlas (113) and Jon Russo (126) were sixth, Mitchell Klein (132) finished seventh and Mike Orbeta (145) and Billy Marino (195) placed eighth.
