The regular season wrapped up for most of Horace Greeley's varsity teams earlier in the week, and they have been waiting to find out who their next opponents will be ever since. The seedings and match-ups were released on Wednesday and here is who the Quaker teams will be playing:
-Following an 8-8 regular season, the volleyball squad landed a home playoff game against Brewester at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Greeley is seeded #7 and Brewster #10.
-The field hockey team received #14 seed and will be traveling to Wappingers to take on the #4 seed R.C. Ketchum at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Quakers went 9-5-1 in the regular season.
-Boys soccer finished the season at 6-6-1, which was good enough to land them a #14 seed in its bracket. The team will be playing on the road at #4 seeded Suffern at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will be played at Suffern Middle School.
-Girls diving will be participating in Divisional Championships at Pace University at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
-Girls swimming will take to the water for the Conference Championship at the Mt. Kisco Boys & Girls Club at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
-Boys and girls cross country teams will compete at the County Championship at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Croton Point Park.
-Horace Greeley football will wrap up its season with a non-playoff road game at Spring Valley High School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Following a homecoming loss to Harrison, the Quakers will look to snap a four-game losing streak and even up their record at 4-4.
-The league champion-winning girls soccer team is still waiting on its opponent for Saturday.
