Horace Greeley Athletes, Coaches Receive Honors

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Several coaches and winter athletes at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua have received various honors.

Simon Ludl and Cami Friedlander received Westchester/Putnam Skier of the Year honors.

Kyle Burton and Grant McElheny received boys first team honors, while Chris Evanko, Trevor Hanifin, Josh Medway, Max Wilson and Mitchell Wilson received honorable mention.

Allison Lecce Tyler Hill received girls honorable mention.

Tyler Hill won the title of Westchester/Putnam Boys Swimmer of the Year for the 100 free and 100 backstroke, and River Elms won the 200 free.

Boys first team honors went to Daniel Papes, River Elms, LuisFelipe Carvao and Tyler Hill for Greeley’s 200 freestyle relay team, and to River Elms, Graham Blair, John Koster and Tyler Hill for Greeley's 400 freestyle relay team.

John Koster (200 IM) and River Elms (500 Free) received second team honors. Bo Paruvangada received honorable mention.

Suzanne Guziec, Greeley Girls Swim Coach, was named this season’s Section One Coach of the Year.

Meg Kaplan, Greeley Boys Swim Coach, is this season’s Section One Coach of the Year.
