BREWSTER, N.Y. Four Greeley freshmen scored Monday to lead the Quakers ice hockey team to a 5-3 victory over Hendrick Hudson in the quarterfinal round of the Section 1 Division II tournament at the Brewster Ice Rink.
Greeley (10-5-1) scored the first two goals and kept the lead throughout the game.
Quakers captain Sam Spar, Sam Mishkind and Scott Jacubowitz each scored a goal to help build a 4-3 lead. Greg Krisberg scored the first goal of the game and sealed the win with the final goal late in the third period to make it 5-3.
Greeley will face Section 1 top seed Pelham, the fifth ranked team in New York state, Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Ice Hutch in Mount Vernon.
