Three Emergency Days Remain for Chappaqua Schools

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - After an October snowstorm forced the Chappaqua Central School District to use two of its cancellation days in the fall, parents and school officials were left hoping for a winter without much snow.

Before the school year, the district built five cancellation days into the calendar. With two having already been used, schools would need to close for three full days before cutting into any vacation days.

According to the district, if the planned amount of cancellation days is exceeded, make-up days have been scheduled in the following order: April 9, April 2, April 3, April 4 and April 5.
