The newcomers running include Chappaqua residents Warren Messner and Frederick Stein. Stein will also run for the Chappaqua Library Board, which has three candidates seeking one opening.

Joining Stein in running for the library board are Chappaqua residents Dawn Greenberg and Maggie Christ, in addition to Mount Kisco resident Ellen Adnopoz. Greenberg is the owner of Aurora, a fair trade shop in downtown Chappaqua and director of the upcoming Children’s Book Festival.

Both elections will be held May 21, when voters will also get to decide on the district’s proposed 2013-14 budget. All candidates run at large, meaning they do not run for a specific seat and the candidates with the most votes win the available seats.
