Reopening Of Greeley's Main Contest Field Delayed

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Those looking to use the Competition Field and Track at Horace Greeley High School will have to wait for a couple more weeks.

The district announced the field will now open the week of Aug. 28. The field was originally scheduled to open in mid-August. The district blamed the delay on materials required for the track surface having to be ordered from Europe.

The opening ceremony is still scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8. The field has been closed since April.
