Pace Honors Graduates At 2017 Commencement Ceremony

The university held its annual commencement ceremony on Thursday at the Ann and Alfred Goldstein Health, Fitness, and Recreation Center in Pleasantville.

Pace University President Stephen Friedman and Ingrid Burke, Dean of Yale School of Foresty and Environmental Studies spoke at the ceremony.Friedman and Burke were awarded honorary degrees. 

"You graduate today into a world that is changing more rapidly than at any other time," Burke said. 

Burke said Pace students were needed to help fight the environmental crisis. Student Tyler McDermott, who also spoke at the ceremony, had some words of wisdom for his classmates.

"Four years you've been working up to this moment, so make it count and walk away with a smile," McDermott said before the ceremony.
