Lowey had helped secure a $3.7 million federal grant for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
The college also contributed funding to develop the new Visions of Science Laboratory on its campus. Lowey said “This showcase laboratory represents the new vision for science education in the School of Health and Natural Sciences that aims to teach science as it is practiced.”
