Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund Needs Donations

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – The Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund supports students in need. Whether it's because of a sickness or death of a parent, abandonment by a parent, or loss of employment, there are students who simply cannot afford to go to college.

The Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund is currently falling short to meet this year's demand, but there is still time in 2012 to contribute.

Each year, the fund helps such students close the gap between the cost of college and what their families can provide.

But the fund is behind on reaching its 2012 goal, falling short of the current demands of students in need. But there is still time left in the calendar year to make a tax-deductible contribution.

“These are genuine stories of heartbreak within our community,” David Perlmutter, the fund's president said in an email sent out to the Horace Greeley community. “These students are your neighbors, and your children’s friends. You can help them by making a tax-deductible donation. No gift is too small.”
