Since 2010, the Horace Greeley High School Senior Experience Program has been providing 12th graders with the opportunity to design personalized learning experiences. The senior experience program affords students the opportunity to explore career possibilities, pursue passions, give back to the community, make self-discoveries, and realize how their efforts can influence the world beyond the classroom.

In previous years, students have worked on everything from designing bridges to song-writing. Students also have taken part in organic farming, tested operating systems at IBM’s Watson Lab, interned in the Special Crimes Division of the Westchester District Attorney's Office, and taught in Chappaqua elementary schools.

The official start of the program is May 4, depending on each student’s AP test schedule, and will end on June 10. During this time, students will engage in their projects for a minimum of 30 hours over five days each week, write weekly reflections, meet at least once a week with a faculty adviser, and make a final presentation at the end of their experience.
