Chappaqua Superintendent Invites Parents To Knowledge Cafe At Greeley HS

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua Schools Superintendent Lyn McKay, will host a “knowledge café,” on Monday, where parents can get a firsthand look at several instructional tools being used throughout the district.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Academic Commons and iLab at Horace Greeley High School.

A number of resources will be included in the display stations, including : Canvas, the learning and course management system used in the high school; Chappaqua’s Google domain, the educational Google network used in grades 3-12; Math-In-Focus, which is comprised of instructional resources for grades K-5; library subscription databases used district-wide for research; and introductory computer science concepts at the elementary level.

Eric Byrne, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, and Darleen Nicolosi, director of technology, will also be at the event.

A number of teachers will also be present.

Due to space constraints, only the first 80 people who register will be able to attend.
