This Knowledge Café will focus on the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR), which is the state's new evaluation system for teachers and principals. It has been used for principals since last year and will be used for teachers for the first time this year.

The goals of this Knowledge Café are to:

  • Develop an understanding of the three components of the NYSED APPR requirements.
  • Share the district’s APPR process.
  • Hear from teachers and principals about the district process.
  • Discuss the problematic issues with the APPR.

Members of the district’s professional development team will join McKay and Byrne at the event.

To facilitate the planning process, you should RSVP by Monday, April 8. Due to space limitations the district can only accommodate the first 120 registrants.
