The Chappaqua Board of Education discussed online learning in Chappaqua and was presented with a report on the Harvard-Chappaqua Virtual Learning and Assessment Project by Dr. Chris Dede during a meeting Tuesday night.
The Board of Education also appointed Linda Adair as a substitute teacher on an as needed basis and 50 individuals were approved as PSAT, SAT, and/or ACT proctors on an as needed basis for the 2011-2012 school year.
In addition, the Board of Education took action on a request from Sara Kenney, a Special Education teacher at Robert E. Bell Middle School, for a child care leave of absence. The Board of Education was also recommended to accept the resignation of Susan Kehoe, a teaching assistant at Robert E. Bell Middle School.
Meanwhile, ninth grade football assistant and seventh and eighth grade field hockey assistant positions were voted on to be terminated due to lack of enrollment.
The Board also resolved that Diego Barilla, Sergio Leonardo and Vernon Spinner, Jr. be appointed to custodial substitute positions on an as needed basis.
