State Assemblyman Robert Castelli (R-C/89th District) stopped by Horace Greeley High School Wednesday to honor 76 freshman musicians from the Ninth Grade Orchestra and Concert Band who performed at the New York State Capitol in Albany this past March as part of the New York State Music in our Schools Month.
Castelli presented each member of the Orchestra and Concert Band an Assembly Certificate of Merit and a picture on the Millon Dollar Staircase at the New York State Capitol Wednesday afternoon.
Its such a great honor for the kids. They really loved it, said Concert Band director Dr. Raymond Lucia. He (Castelli) was very gracious and the kids enjoyed making music in a public place.

The kids really enjoyed the opportunity to see the Albany state house and perform, said Orchestra director Davis Knobloch. They really enjoyed the guided tour of the Senate and Assembly chambers, given by Castelli himself.
