Elementary math consulting teacher Donna Swift will host a series of information sessions for parents to learn more about model drawing (bar modeling) and to solve word problems from grades two to five. Guidance from classroom teachers will also be available.

The Feb. 2 session will be held at Mount Kisco Elementary School, and the Feb. 10 session will be held at Pound Ridge Elementary School.

Parents of students in kindergarten and first grade are welcome to attend and to join the second-grade group to get a preview of word problems in second grade.

Fifth-grade parents who attended the Oct. 9 evening at Mount Kisco Elementary should be aware that these two evenings will involve the same fifth-grade problems used in October.

This is an informational evening for parents. Please do not bring children.

A session will also be held on Wednesday, March 4, with Yeap Ban Har.
