SUFFERN, N.Y. – Suffern police joined forces with the state Department of Transportation for a commercial vehicle safety check Thursday.
A worn tire was discovered Thursday during a joint commercial vehicle safety check between Suffern police and the state Department of Transportation.

Examples included faulty brakes, steering issues, overweight vehicles and equipment violations.
