The concert will feature the Pilgrim Ringers, John Cesar's Guitar Quartet, John Maiola on trumpet, sopranos Signe Myhren and Joy Jacobs, and Gloria Norton on organ. The audience will be invited to participate, chiming in with bells that will be provided.
The show is open to the public, and a free-will offering will be benefit a local food bank. Refreshments will be served immediately after. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m., at the First Congregational Church of River Edge. The church is located at 109 Continental Ave., in River Edge.
The River Edge Cultural Center was started 21 years ago by a small group of residents who came together for the 1994 Centennial, honoring the incorporation of the borough. The town offered the newly-formed RECC a home at the former Borough Heath Building, for historical photographs and documents that had been found in the attic of River Edge Borough Hall.
The RECC is nonprofit and was founded with a dual role of supplying a place for local artists of all ages to display their work and exploring the past of the borough. It sponsors events and exhibits throughout the year.
