Tuckahoe's Williams Class C State Player of Year

Sky Williams was instrumental in the Tuckahoe boy’s basketball team winning the New York State Class C championship in March. The 6-foot senior averaged 27.8 points per game and, as a result, was selected the New York State Class C boy’s player of the year by the New York State Sportswriters Association. Teammate and classmate Justin Nolan, who averaged 16.2 points per game, was named to the second team. In Class B, seven players from Westchester County were selected, led by Croton junior Ian Thom (17.4 points a game) and Dobbs Ferry sophomore Eric Paschal (18.4 points per game), who were both named to the fifth team. Woodlands’ senior Reece Williams was chosen for the seventh team, Blind Brook senior Antoine Saliba was named on the eighth team, Briarcliff junior Brian Daniels was selected for the 10th team and Thomas Fleming was an 11th team pick. Alex Gendelman of Rye Country Day School was also named to the 11th team.
