BEDFORD, N.Y. – For those “House Hunters” fans in Westchester County eagerly awaiting for local real estate agent Justin Pieragostini to appear on the show, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer.
Originally scheduled to air sometime in April, the footage of Pieragostini helping a family relocate to Katonah from Boston will now air sometime in July, according to Pieragostini.
“We finally got an update,” he said. “A program director at HGTV said that the show will now are in July.”
Pieragostini told The Daily Voice he would follow up with a more exact date as soon as he knows.
The HGTV show, which premiered in 1999, will follow Pieragostini's clients Steven and Megan Grskovic, and their three children, as they research the market with Pieragostini and plan their move to Westchester from Boston. "House Hunters" typically follows home-buyers in different markets while they compare three different properties.
After building up a rapport with the Grskovics, Pieragostini was enthusiastic about applying for a "House Hunters" episode.
“Here’s a family that’s making this big, life-changing move from Boston to Westchester. We all agreed nothing would be cooler than documenting that transition for all their friends and family to see,” said Pieragostini. “'House Hunters' is always looking for great stories and this is one of them.”
Pieragostini said he can’t wait for Northern Westchester to be put under a national spotlight.
“'House Hunters' has never done a show about properties in this part of the country,” said Pieragostini. “I think it’s really going to show everyone — on a national level — how cool it is to live in this dynamic community.”
