Those interested in the Recreation and Parks Commission would take part of developing long-term and short-term plans for the town’s parks and sponsored activities for New Castle residents. They would also help supervise equipment, operation and maintenance of all facilities, make rules for governing their use and establish and collect fees, along with making recommendations to the Town Board for recreational programs.
Volunteers interested in the Millwood Task Force would be joining a team responsible for monitoring events and representing the interests of Millwood. The task force advises the Town Board about programs to make the hamlet of Millwood attractive and comfortable areas for both residents and businesses.
