The New Castle Republicans unveiled their slate for municipal elections, nominating incumbent Supervisor Robert Greenstein and council members Adam Brodsky and Lisa Katz for re-election.

Greenstein, who is running for a third term, will be opposed by Kristen Browde, the Democratic candidate for supervisor. Brodsky and Katz are running for their second term. Gail Merkels and Ivy Pool are running for town council on the Democratic slate.

According to the New Castle GOP, Greenstein and Katz are registered Democrats.

"We are very proud to be endorsed by our friends and neighbors of local Town Republican Committee," Greenstein said. "We all got involved because we believe local government is about people, principles, and ideas - not parties. We are saving money and increasing services. We are tireless, responsive, accessible and proactive. We brought communication, energy & vision. We represent the whole community. We are laser-focused on local issues."
