NEW CASTLE, N.Y. – Zephyr Teachout, the Fordham professor who opposed Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a Democratic primary in 2014, is organizing a protest for more clemency this Saturday at Cuomo's New Castle, according to the NY State of Politics blog.
In an email sent to supporters, Teachout pointed to the governor's 'shockingly bad' record on clemency, noting that he had pardoned only five people since his term began in 2011, according to the blog.
Teachout also led a similar demonstration last year at Cuomo's home, reported the NY State of Politics blog
The candlelight vigil will begin around 7 p.m.
