According to the poll, 46 percent of voters say they’re prepared to re-elect Cuomo and 46 percent prefer ‘someone else,’ down from 53-36 percent in May. Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro are considering running against the Democratic governor.

Only 43 percent of New Yorkers say they approve of the job Cuomo is doing, down from 51 percent in May. Cuomo's approval rating took a big hit from downstate voters, frustrated with his handling of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Siena College said.
