Two Steal Thousands In Beauty Products, Yorktown Police Say

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Two women from Yonkers were arrested in Yorktown for attempting to steal thousands of dollars worth of beauty products from a store at the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Two from Yonkers were arrested on grand larceny charges for stealing more than $2,000 in merchandise from Ulta Beauty in the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown.

On Wednesday, the Yorktown Police Department announced that of 28-year-old Destiny Charnay Hudson and 26-year-old Lawren Turner Jackson are facing felony grand larceny charges for helping to steal $2,112 in merchandise from Ulta Beauty at the mall.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, police were dispatched to the Jefferson Valley Mall for a reported larceny. Following a lengthy investigation, it was determined that Hudson and Jackson, “while aiding, abetting and acting in concert, entered Ulta Beauty store and concealed numerous (products) and left the store, passing all points of purchase without paying,” police said

Both Hudson and Jackson were arrested on Tuesday, March 21 at the Croton Police Department and were transported to Yorktown, where they were each charged with felony counts of fourth-degree grand larceny.

Hudson’s bail was set at $1,500 cash or $2,500 bond, while Jackson’s was set at $15,000 cash or $25,000 bond. Both were remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of bail. Each is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, April 11.
