Police Investigate Chappaqua Train Station Thefts

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - Two cars were broken into Monday while parked at the Chappaqua Train Station, New Castle Police said.

On both cars, a window was broken and a GPS unit stolen. Accordng to police, in both instances, the GPS units were left in plain sight, either on the dashboard or attached to the windshield. The thefts occurred during daytime hours.

Police are reminding commuters and other residents to put any valuables away when cars are parked and left unattended.

New Castle Police will be increasing patrols of the town parking lots and ask the public to immediately report any suspicious activity by calling 914-238-4422.
