Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, the Westchester County Police were dispatched to a West Street apartment complex in Mount Cisco after they received reports of suspicious activity in the area.
According to police, when they arrived at the scene, they observed that nearby fencing had been removed from the surrounding area, permitting access to the property from Lexington Avenue.
As a result of the suspicious activity, the department increased patrols in the area. There was no further incident reported.
- The suspicious activity on West Street wasn’t Westchester County Police’s first call on Friday morning. At approximately 3:30 a.m., they responded to the 200 block of East Main Street, where they found a man, reportedly, possibly intoxicated sleeping behind the commercial buildings.
The police transported the man to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for evaluation and was subsequently released.
- A Mount Kisco resident received a scare on Wednesday night. According to a police report, at 11:40 p.m., Westchester County Police received a call that a man had been talking to a friend who told him he had injured himself and needed help before the cell phone call was dropped.
Officers launched a swift investigation that determined that the victim had gone to Northern Westchester Hospital Center, where he was getting stitches for an injury he suffered.
- Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Westchester County Police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run accident on Kisco Avenue. According to the police report, the car was parked when it was struck and suffered enough damage that it had to be towed away from the scene.
