Peekskill Registered Sex Offender Arrested Again

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A sex offender registered as living in the city was arrested last week after being found far from home, according to city police.

Thomas Holcombe, 41, of Peekskill, was arrested on Aug. 17 at 8 a.m. and charged with failure to abide by sex offender regulations, a felony, at police headquarters by Police Detective  Det. Ralph D’Aliso.

Police were notified on July 3 that Holcombe was arrested in Baltimore, Md., on local charges, police said. Holcombe was transported back to Peekskill by members of the Westchester County Police Warrant Squad and arraigned in city court. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.

Holcombe, a registered level 3 sex offender in New York State, was required to report to Peekskill Police every 90 days while he is a city resident. In September of 2011 Holcombe failed to respond to police and charges were filed after it was learned Holcombe no longer resided at the address he had provided, according to police. Police obtained a warrant for Holcombe’s arrest and circulated it nationwide.
