Mount Kisco Man Assaults Girlfriend, Police Say

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Police have been busy answering calls the past week ranging from the assault of a girlfriend to a man threatening a store clerk.

  • Sunday, April 2: A 25-year-old Mount Kisco man was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault during a fight with his girlfriend in the Briarcliff section of town.
  • Thursday, April 5: A 29-year-old Valhalla woman was charged with petit larceny after stealing and cashing checks from her Valhalla employer.
  • Friday, April 7: A Thornwood man, 31, was charged with criminal contempt after he violated an order of protection. The incident occurred on Columbus Avenue in Thornwood.
  • Saturday, April 8: A traffic stop on Elwood Avenue in Hawthorne led to the arrest of a 65-year-old Mount Vernon woman. She was charged with driving with a suspended license and issued summonses for failing to stop at a stop sign and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. 
  • Wednesday, April 12: A New York City man, 21, was charged with criminal mischief after he broke a window at the JCCA Pleasantville Cottage School. The man was a former resident who was visiting a friend. He was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail on $500 bail.
  • Friday, April 14: The same NYC man arrested again and charged with menacing after he threatened a store clerk who refused to sell him alcohol due to a lack of proper ID. He is being held at the Westchester County Jail on $10,000 bail.
  • Saturday,  April 15:  - A 48-year-old Port Chester man was charged with petit larceny after he stole items from the Home Depot.
  • Monday, April 17: An Ossining man, 30, was stopped by a selective enforcement officer on Route 9A after seeing an unsafe commercial vehicle. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, as well as various other violations.
