Officers alerted to the trouble Friday boarded the bus and found the man standing behind the driver, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

They tried to remove him, but the man refused then "assumed an aggressive fighting position and pulled his arms free in an attempt to resist and fight with the officers," he said.

After subduing him, they found the box cutter in his backpack, Pentangelo said.

Kaiman Brown, 32, of the Bronx also "admitted that he was agitated and had displayed the weapon."

He was arrested and the bus continued on.

Brown was charged with weapons possession, ressiting arrest, obstruction and interference with transportation.
