UPDATE: The charges on Vincent J. Groppa were withdrawn on Dec. 18, 2012, according to court documents.

HARRISON, N.Y. – Police charged two people with criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors, stemming from an arrest on May 19 at 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Kenilworth Road and North Street.

The police report said that Darlene Frawley, 34, of Pleasantville was pulled over for having an object hanging from her motor vehicle's rearview mirror. Upon approaching the vehicle, the arresting officer reportedly noticed passenger Vincent J. Groppa, 48, of Chappaqua, spit something into a blue tissue box, which Groppa reportedly admitted was cocaine when asked. Upon searching the tissue box, the arresting officer reportedly found a business card folded in half, closed by a paper clip, with a piece of paper inside it containing cocaine.

When the arresting officer searched Frawley, she reportedly found two small plastic baggies containing cocaine inside a silver pill case attached to Frawley's keychain, in her purse. The police report said the arresting officer also found two plastic tampon applicators containing cocaine residue inside a black change purse, also in her purse. Frawley faces an additional charge of driving with a suspended license, a violation, for prior driving-while-intoxicated charges. A third passenger who was in the vehicle was not charged with any offenses.

Suspended License: Police arrested a 28-year-old Yonkers man May 18 at 6:40 p.m. at 51 Anderson Hill Road. Upon license verification, the arresting officer found that the man was driving with a suspended drivers’ license for 20 total suspensions.

Suspended License: A man from the Jamaica section of Queens, 56, was issued a summons on May 17 at 6:55 p.m. at the I-684 onramp near Anderson Hill Road. A DMV check found that the man was driving with a suspended license for failure to pay a fine out of New York City.

Suspended License: A White Plains man, 32, was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license on May 16 at 5:46 p.m. at the intersection of Kenilworth Lane and Kenilworth Road. A DMV check confirmed the suspension.

Ccriado:

Did the writer ever think how the children of V. Groppa were affected by posting his arrest? I can assure you, it was not a good outcome. Kids are cruel! So I hope you are happy that you devastated and humiliated a couple of great kids by posting this story. They are being punished as well for something they had no control over.
